Crime Stopper of the Year 2015 Fundraiser

Thanks to our sponsors and supporters, our 2015 Fundraiser/Luncheon on February 26th was a tremendous success.  A little untimely snow and ice presented us with a challenge, but it cleared up in time for almost everyone to join us.  For those of you able to join us, we hope you had a great time.  We would like to thank all of you who contributed.  Thanks to your generosity, we raised over $87,000.
This year we honored Hoover Chief of Police, Nicholas Derzis, as our 2014 Crime Stopper of the year.  Once again we were able to announce another successful record-setting year for Crime Stoppers in 2014.  In 2014, Crime Stopper tips helped law enforcement clear over 389 cases and we awarded over $86,000 for successful tips. Our fundraiser brought together a wonderful mix of law enforcement, government, corporate and community leaders, all invested in fighting crime and making our communities safe.
Already in 2015 we have seen record-setting success in our monthly numbers. We intend to keep up the pace so we will be celebrating another record setting year at our next fundraiser. Please plan to join us again next year!
